Today we are looking for a motivated and curious Junior Platform Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will help build the internal developer platform that enables our product teams to ship code faster, safer, and more reliably.


You will work closely with Senior Platform Engineers and DevOps specialists to manage our AWS infrastructure, automate workflows, and improve system observability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong computer science background who wants to specialize in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).


What You Will Do

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Assist in provisioning and managing AWS cloud resources (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc) using tools like Terraform.
  • CI/CD Optimization: Help maintain and improve our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines to ensure smooth software delivery.
  • Automation: Write scripts (Python, Bash, etc) to automate repetitive operational tasks.
  • Observability: Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and uptime.
  • Collaboration: Work with software developers to troubleshoot deployment issues and ensure their applications run efficiently in the cloud.
  • Security: Assist in implementing security best practices (IAM roles, security groups) to protect our customer data.


Requirements

  • Education: A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
  • Cloud Fundamentals: basic theoretical understanding of Cloud Computing concepts (virtualization, networking, storage, load balancing). Specific knowledge of AWS is highly preferred.
  • Operating Systems: Comfortable working in a Linux environment (command line navigation, file permissions, basic bash scripting).
  • Programming: Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
  • Containerization: Basic understanding of Docker and how containers work.
  • Soft Skills: A strong desire to learn, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points)

  • Previous internship experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering role.
  • Exposure to container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Version Control Systems (Git).
  • Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner).
  • Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
