Our Marketing team is seeking a Freelance Technical Content Marketing Manager to play a key role in scaling our inbound marketing efforts, accelerating organic growth, and increasing visibility with developer and security audiences

What will be your day to day:

  • Research, write, and publish in-depth technical content on application security, code quality, AI-assisted software engineering, and our product capabilities, targeting software engineers and security professionals, as well as leadership
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar aligned with SEO/GEO strategy and product launches
  • Conduct competitive and market research to identify content opportunities and gaps
  • Collaborate with the design team to produce high-quality graphics and visual assets for blog posts and tutorials
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and gather insights for content creation
  • Optimize existing content for search engines and generative AI platforms to maximize organic discovery
  • Produce case studies showcasing customer implementations and outcomes
  • Monitor and report on organic traffic growth from search engines and LLM-based discovery
  • Optional: Publish content across relevant developer communities (HackerNews, Dev.to, Reddit, etc.) and engage in technical discussions

We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who can write comfortably about software security and quality topics. The ideal candidate has:

Technical background (required):

  • Hands-on software development experience (professional or significant personal projects)
  • Former experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and developer tooling
  • Understanding of application security concepts or willingness to develop deep expertise in AppSec/SAST/DAST

Marketing skills (preferred but can be developed):

  • Understanding of SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
  • Content marketing strategy and editorial planning experience
  • B2B SaaS marketing experience
  • Familiarity with developer communities and how to engage authentically

What matters most: We prioritize technical depth over marketing polish. If you can explain complex security concepts clearly and credibly engage with developers, we can teach you the marketing frameworks.

  • Flexible working hours
  • Remote-first work policy (must be based within 1-2 hours of GMT time zone).

Please include your hourly rate and an example of your work in your application.
