Job Summary

Uphold is looking for a Senior Paralegal to join our Legal team. This is an exciting opportunity where you will play a key role in supporting Uphold’s international expansion, acting as a project manager for international corporate formations, regulatory filings, and legal operations.

Reporting to the Senior Counsel, you will be an integral contributor to ensuring the organization meets its regulatory, operational, and strategic objectives. You will work cross-functionally across the business, coordinating complex regulatory submissions, managing legal documentation, and continuously improving legal processes in a fast-paced, global environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting regulatory submissions by assisting with the preparation, completion, and coordination of regulatory forms, schedules, and supporting materials, including first-pass completion, maintaining trackers, version control, and capturing internal reviews and approvals.
  • Collecting, organising, labelling, and maintaining supporting documentation and evidence in structured repositories, ensuring materials are complete, current, and audit-ready.
  • Coordinating the collection of information and documentation from internal teams and key stakeholders, following up to meet deadlines and ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Legal team and other functions such as Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Risk, and IT/Security to help unblock requests efficiently.
  • Supporting governance and legal operations activities as needed, including assistance with board and committee materials, logistics, and the continuous improvement of legal processes, templates, and filing systems.
  • Providing general administrative and paralegal support to the Legal team, including responding to internal requests and assisting with contract and document workflows during peak periods.
  • Managing the workflow and lifecycle of all contracts entered into by the company.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Undergraduate degree; Paralegal certification preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a paralegal, legal operations, or legal support role, either in-house and/or at a law firm.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, including the use of trackers, logs, and version control.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with capital markets, cryptocurrencies, and/or blockchain technologies.
  • Experience supporting regulatory filings or licensing applications in financial services, fintech, payments, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience building or managing document repositories, contract lifecycle workflows, and legal intake processes.
  • Familiarity with corporate records, ownership and shareholder information, and governance documentation.
