Maintenance Technician in Porto

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician in Porto to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. In this role, you will play a crucial part within the maintenance team, ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of machines, equipment, and facilities. This position requires a hands-on approach, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively troubleshoot maintenance issues.

What will be your responsibilities

• Perform on-site mechanical repairs (using a car or van) and troubleshoot to ensure the proper functioning of package lockers;
• Conduct functional tests on the units;
• Repair and connect low-voltage components;
• Verify and control the quality of electrical installations;
• Handle software fault reports remotely (with the support of the technical team) for lockers in Portugal;
• Manage the replacement and electronic testing, using technical documentation to guide your work;
• Collaborate with our team to document interventions, report results, and recommend improvements;
• Support the Operations Manager with other ad hoc tasks as required.
• Assist with deployment tasks including: loading lockers, installing and testing lockers, and organizing warehouse inventory as needed;
• Route and lay cables to ensure proper electrical installations;
• Secure and connect low-voltage components;
• Verify and control the quality of the installation;
• Provide technical training and support to team members and customers to ensure the proper use and maintenance of the lockers;
• Conduct technical visits (surveys) prior to installation to assess the suitability of the site and determine any required adaptations or other certifications as needed.

What are the requirements to join us in this position

• Proficiency in Portuguese and basic knowledge of English;
• Proficiency in Excel and data entry tasks;
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills;
• Excellent customer service skills and patience in dealing with both technical and non-technical users;
• Ease with technology, including hardware and software aspects;
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects and workloads.

Extra valued skills

• Technical vocational training or equivalent experience;
• Electrical certifications;
• Familiarity with startup culture.
