Interim Head of Product (Portugal, Hybrid)

As the Interim Head of Product, you will play a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction of tb.lx’s excellence areas and product focuses during a critical 7-month period to cover two parental leaves. You will oversee a team of seven Product Managers, ensuring a strong alignment with our leadership team’s top business priorities, while also maintaining momentum across all key product initiatives.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving cross-functional and cross-team collaboration, coaching your team, and ensuring the successful delivery of product roadmaps. You will also proactively manage the product lifecycle, from strategic planning to execution, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed, aligned, and engaged. Your leadership will be instrumental in resolving blockers, mitigating risks, and ensuring that all critical milestones are achieved.

You’ll also work to foster a culture of psychological safety, clarity, and high performance. You’ll conduct regular 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and support your team in navigating challenges and celebrating successes. You’ll also work closely with Engineering Managers and the People Team, to help ensure optimal staffing and resource planning, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term organizational goals.

A stable, high-performing product organization is a shared responsibility. You will lead the alignment and closure of service agreements with key business partners, ensuring timely negotiations and documentation. You will also assess the health of the product strategy, team dynamics, and key processes, delivering clear, actionable recommendations and a seamless handover to permanent leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:  

• 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, overseeing multiple product teams and portfolios;
• A strong background in managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment across engineering teams, business needs, and executive stakeholders;
• The demonstrated ability to lead with intention through ambiguity and change, particularly in fast-paced or transitional environments;
• Experience working with enterprise partners and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and relationships, ideally within relevant industries for our business, such as the mobility, automotive, or tech industries;
• Proven success in negotiating and securing long-term service agreements or strategic partnerships;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to be influential and drive impactful conversations, across all levels of an organization;
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and resource planning;
• A high comfort level with short-term assignments and the ability to be quickly onboarded, assess organizational health, and deliver impactful outcomes within a defined timeframe;
• Fluency in written and spoken English, is a must.
  
  
  
  NICE-TO-HAVE: 
  

• Experience with or a background in data-driven product development, including exposure to AI, data platforms, or connectivity solutions;
• A strong understanding of financial planning processes and budget negotiations in a corporate setting;
• Fluency in German or Portuguese is a plus.
