Welcome to tb.lx – we are building sustainable transportation solutions in a hybrid work setup. Join us – we are looking for you!

As an Engineering Lead, you will be the go-to person for a team running a business-critical product. You will be responsible for empowering your team to deliver their best work, of the highest possible standard. You’ll foster an environment of ownership by delegating tasks based on team members’ strengths and ambitions, inspiring them to achieve their best.

In this role, you will be working closely with stakeholders to align priorities and a product roadmap, while also advocating for team stability, software development in alignment with best practices, and overall product reliability. You will be expected to bring a challenger mindset and software engineering perspective, to enable better product discovery.

As the team’s primary representative in stakeholder meetings, you’ll communicate challenges, progress, and needs, aligning goals and next steps with cross-functional partners. You’ll participate in architectural decisions, coordinate with principal engineers, and drive cross-team alignment on shared priorities.

Proactive communication and structured organization are key to this role. You’ll manage a refinement-heavy board, ensuring that tasks are prioritized effectively to maintain a well-organized workflow that keeps projects on track. You will also oversee task prioritization and resource allocation to maintain high productivity and team well-being, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks, holding the team accountable for delivering high-quality work on time.

You will cultivate an open, transparent environment where team members feel empowered to share their ideas, achievements, and challenges, using feedback to redirect and reinforce behaviors. You’ll also support your team’s growth by recognizing achievements and guiding them to explore alternative solutions when facing obstacles and cultivate leadership in engineers regardless of seniority.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Solid level of experience as an Engineering Lead or in a technical leadership role with team management responsibilities;
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate engineers;
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) and ownership of project planning, prioritization, and delivery tasks;
  • A proven track record of making balanced technical decisions, manage trade-offs, and tackle complex engineering challenges;
  • A passion for mentoring engineers, fostering a collaborative culture, and enabling a team to reach its full potential;
  • Experience in managing and balancing stakeholders’ and team’s needs;
  • Experience working in software development operations or supporting product development;
  • Experience working with this team’s tech stack: Nextjs (React), Spring boot (Java or Kotlin), Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD Pipelines (Azure);
  • The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering open, transparent communication across teams;
  • Proactive and solution-driven, with a strong product mindset;
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

NICE-TO-HAVE:

  • Experience with product discovery and the product delivery lifecycle;
  • Experience as a main facilitator of growth, by helping engineers set their goals and coaching them to be accountable for it: co-define, track, celebrate.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF…

  • You are motivated by working on impactful products;
  • You thrive working in a real hybrid work setting;
  • You are open to a transparent feedback culture;
  • You have strong sustainability values;
  • You always communicate with a positive intent.
