We are looking for an Associate Commercial Manager to join our journey to develop our grocery vertical in Portugal.

The Associate Commercial Manager will be responsible for following our product assortment strategy, sourcing the exact quantity at the best possible price while ensuring we maximize consumer experience, while constantly growing our revenue and increasing our suppliers engagement and sales.

In this role you'll own and improve commercial performance and quality metrics. You will be the first point of contact for any matter related to commercial operations in your area of responsibility and you will be in charge of implementation of all processes and developments happening in your area of responsibility, which will require your ability to constantly analyze key metrics and come up with solutions on overall performance improvement. 


  • Conduct in-depth market research and commercial analyses to understand consumer trends, competitor landscapes, and pricing, translating these insights into actionable strategies and recommendations to drive category growth.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, leading negotiations for optimal commercial terms, joint business plans, promotional activities, and contract agreements to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Design, execute, and analyze consumer-centric promotional campaigns within budget, collaborating closely with Marketing, Operations, and other Commercial teams to ensure seamless implementation and maximize campaign ROI.
  • Define category assortment, pricing strategies, and optimize trade space allocation, working in tandem with Supply Chain and Store Operations to monitor inventory levels, align with sales forecasts, and minimize stock-outs or overstock situations.
  • Regularly review product and supplier performance against key commercial metrics (e.g., sales, profit, margin), manage the invoice reconciliation process for commercial agreements (including growth tools and back margins), and ensure compliance with legal and ethical frameworks.


  • 1-3 years of experience in the commercial domain, ecommerce or brick and mortar. Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent project & program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Great analytical skills. Ability to interpret and present data to support decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and ability to analyze profitability and sales data.
