THE ROLE
As an Accounting Associate, you will play a key role within the accounting department, focusing on the execution of accounting processes across multiple regions. You will contribute to accurate financial reporting, reconciliations and audit support, ensuring the integrity and compliance of our financial information.
This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is ideal for professionals with strong technical accounting knowledge and hands-on experience in monthly close and financial analysis.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and analysis across multiple entities.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other key accounting transactions.
- Provide audit support, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor queries.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare VAT calculations, support submissions and payments
- Support any operational accounting / tax related topic within scope
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Economics.
- 4–6 years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, or financial reporting.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Experience working in multi-entity, international environments is a plus.
- Experience with Primavera and/or Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented with a good understanding of financial processes.
- Collaborative, proactive, and motivated to thrive in a dynamic scale-up environment.
- Big4 or audit firm experience is highly valued.
